You can dispute a result if you think there's a factual error (wrong winner recorded, score entered incorrectly, dancer assigned to another account…). Judges' decisions, however, cannot be appealed.
Cases where a dispute is admissible
- The recorded winner isn't the one who won
- You don't appear even though you took part
- The score is credited to another dancer (namesake, data entry error)
- The displayed bracket doesn't match what actually happened
- An obvious category error (age / style)
Cases that aren't admissible
- Disagreement with the judges' decision (subjective judgment)
- Complaint about another dancer's judging
- A technical problem that occurred during the battle (sound, floor, etc.)
Procedure
- Go to the page of the event concerned
- Click "Report an error" at the bottom of the bracket
- Describe the error precisely (battle, round, dancers involved)
- Attach evidence if possible (video, photo, testimony)
- Submit the request
Deadline: you have 14 days after the end of the event
to dispute a result. After that, the results are final.
What happens next?
The organizer receives your request and has 7 days to respond. If the dispute is accepted, the points are recalculated automatically. If it's rejected, you receive an explanation. In case of an ongoing disagreement, the ShadowPass team can step in as a neutral arbiter.
